This art project - “This is still not a pipe” - emerged as a follow-up idea of the famous drawing of a pipe by René Magritte. In “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” (eng. this is not a pipe) he drew a realistic pipe with the underlying text you can see in the title. His idea was to point out the dissonance of images of things not being the thing itself although that is intuitevely stated. In his words the pipe he drew, after all, could not be stuffed with real tobacco.
In this piece I extended that idea: since a virtual pipe could not be stuffed with tobacco either.
